Winery Ploder Rosenberg

　　Our Ploder- Rosenberg vineyard is situated in St. Peter/Ottersbach in the midst of the Styrian Vulcanland area. “We've been bottling 100% high quality wine for 15 years. For the past ten years we've been working exclusively in wine making and for the last five years we've been questioning long time production methods. Since the year 2010 we have the first “certified” harvest from all our own vineyards cultivated using biodynamic principles. Through our wine you gain an insight into the vineyards, the annual course of the weather and the preferences of us winemakers. You're not just drinking wine but tasting the secrets of Ploder – Rosenberg.” 传统的地下发酵罐 　　Together with Maria, actively supported by conscientious employees and motivated by children Lydia and Manuel, who are studying, we cultivate our own 12 hectar vineyards according to biodynamic principles. Key locations are: Alte Riede, Eichholz, Michlkeller, Kreuzfeld, Luttenberg, Kapellen, Steinriegl and Mitteregg. In addition, at the moment, around 5 ha of grape material is bought from contractual partners and processed. 　　Here at Ploder`s we don't compromise on quality. Careful work in the vineyard and vinifi-cation following tried and tested findings are for us a matter of course. However, we at Ploder`s have got our own ideas and experiences on what is “tried and tested”! 85% of production is allotted to white wines such as Welschriesling, Weissburgunder, Grau-burgunder, Morillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Gelber Traminer, Viognier, Muskaris and Sauvignier Gris – the latter two as PIWI's (disease tolerant). In the case of red wines the reduction is effected on Blauer Zweigelt and Pinot Noir. 　　We people like to be inspired and follow our own intuition.
