Method:
Splendido stands for elegance, refinement and harmony. The powerful and fruit-driven structure, the complexity of the tannins of Sangiovese di Maremma softened by the roundness, balance and pervasive intensity of Merlot.
The grapes are vinified separately using the traditional method.
The wine is aged in top-quality medium toasted French oak barriques.
The long ageing in the bottle harmonises the body of the Sangiovese with the velvet-smooth finesse of Merlot.

Aroma:
Intense ruby red tending to garnet along the rim. Full, intense bouquet with overtones of berries, cherry, strawberry and plum, vanilla, underbrush and humus, chocolate and leather.
Warm soft, juicy, full-bodied, complex and delicate tannins with a long finish.

Pairing:
It goes well with pasta dishes, offal, foie gras, pasta with meat sauce, vegetables or mushrooms, red or white meat fillets, cold cuts made from wild game, pecorino and mature cheeses and chocolate desserts.
To accompany meals and a meditative wine.
